Campbell Clinic Orthopaedic Surgery Research Requirement
The program provides a longitudinal research curriculum that prepares residents to produce quality scholarly activity. Extensive resources are available through the Campbell Clinic Foundation and the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Each Resident is required to complete at least one research project. Failure to do so will be considered a failure to complete the program requirements and will result in an inability to graduate. The resident is responsible for initiation, implementation and completion of the research project. An abstract should be submitted to a professional society meeting and a manuscript draft prepared prior to presentation at the Ingram Lecture Series.
The Associate Program Director for Research and/or the Campbell Clinic Foundation Research Manager will meet with each resident at the beginning of their PGY2 and PGY3 Research Rotations and as often as needed throughout the rotations in order to set expectations, and discuss goals, for the rotation.
